Just to make something clear: I don’t try to be interesting by writing in English. Some of my best friends do not read Dutch. I want to include them on the road; I’ll need their support as much as of those speaking Dutch. And it has another advantage: the official language of Zambia is English. You never know whether someone in Zambia might be interested in this white woman’s musings one day. So keep flexing those language muscles and be welcome to read these words all over the world!
